Introduction to Yoga - Open Level |
| Never practiced yoga before but want to? Come join us as we explore yoga asana (yoga postures), simple pranayama (breathing exercises) and basic meditative techniques. Attention will be paid to maintaining healthy and safe physical alignment in yoga postures while we foster increased strength and flexibility and cultivate balance skills. Practitioners with physical limitations or old injuries are welcome as every effort will be made to support a safe practice through use of modifications of the yoga postures and use of yoga props. This class will be very accessible to most people but should you have questions or concerns about starting a new yoga practice consider consulting with your doctor first and then inform the instructor of any health concerns or injuries prior beginning your practice. |
